The British Council, through the UK government's International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF), has joined the Amazonia+10 Initiative to launch another call for proposals under the Amazonia BR/UK Workshops Grants program, aimed at researchers from the UK and Brazil. The call will fund scientific workshops to support new research, projects, and collaborations between Brazilian and British researchers on topics related to the Amazon.
Potential topics for the workshop may include, but are not limited to:
Biodiversity
Climate Change
Bioeconomy or Biotechnology
Promoting better living conditions for the Amazonian population.
Land use
Amount of each offer: up to £55,000
Total call value: £330,000
Participating countries: United Kingdom and Brazil
Eligibility: The proposal must be submitted by a researcher based in the United Kingdom together with a researcher based in the Legal Amazon region.
Application deadline: October 21, 2025, 11:00 AM (UK time)

Objeto da Chamada: apoiar a execução de projetos de PD&I por redes de pesquisa e inovação voltadas a solucionar desafios concretos das cadeias socioprodutivas da Amazônia Legal.
Orçamento disponibilizado para a Chamada: R$ 107,1 milhões, sendo R$ 72 milhões oriundos do Fundo Amazônia + R$ 35,1 milhões em contrapartidas das FAPs
Valor por projeto: Até R$ 10 milhões - Cada projeto pode solicitar de R$ 6 milhões a R$ 8 milhões do Fundo Amazônia + contrapartidas das FAPs, até o limite de R$ 10 milhões.
